Pujya Swami Asanganand Saraswatiji Maharaj came to Parmarth Niketan in 1945 at the young age of nine under the divine guidance of His revered Guru, Swami Shukdevanandji Maharaj. Since then, He has dedicated over seven decades of selfless service to the ashram, embodying devotion, discipline, and spiritual commitment.

He holds Acharya degrees in Vedanta and Sanskrit literature, along with a Master’s degree in Sanskrit, reflecting His deep scholarly foundation. Since 1960, He has served tirelessly at the ashram’s Sanskrit Vidyalaya, contributing immensely to the preservation and propagation of sacred knowledge. Despite His profound learning, His humility and simplicity shine through in His willingness to perform even the most modest tasks with devotion.

Currently serving as the Managing Trustee of the Swami Shukdevanand Trust, Pujya Swamiji guides and blesses numerous projects with spiritual insight and dedication. Through His teachings of ancient scriptures and yoga, He continues to inspire countless devotees, offering wisdom, upliftment, and profound spiritual guidance to all who seek His presence.
